All of us—whether devout, sceptical, or atheistic—at some point in life hope for a miracle.
We wish for things beyond our control:

“I wish I could land my dream job.”
“I wish I’d find the perfect life partner.”
“I wish I could win the jackpot lottery.”
The miracle list is endless, as varied as our individual desires.
But as we yearn, pray, and strive for extraordinary outcomes, we often overlook the most extraordinary event of all—our own existence.
The Scientific Staggering Odds of Life
If you ever get a chance to step outside city limits—into a place untouched by smog or artificial light—and look up at the night sky, you may see around 2,000 stars with the naked eye. Each of these stars is a sun.
And these 2,000 are a mere fragment of the 60 billion stars in our own galaxy, the Milky Way.
Zoom out further; the universe may contain up to 3 trillion galaxies, each with its own star systems and planets. However, remember that this count is limited to the visible/observable Universe of ours, which accounts for only about 10% of the entire universe. Imagine the number of galaxies in the entire Universe (including the non-observable 90%); it would be an astounding and mind-boggling number.
And here you are—conscious, sentient, breathing.
What are the odds?
The Improbable Gift
The human body is made of trillions of cells. Each cell is a microscopic universe in its own right. A heartbeat keeps rhythm within you, and neurons fire in your brain, forming thoughts, memories, and dreams. Blood flows, lungs breathe, skin feels, and something in you perceives all of it—the Self.
From the genetic coding in your DNA to the alignment of planetary conditions that allow for life on Earth, your being is the outcome of incalculable harmonies.
Yet, how quickly we forget.
We seek miracles outside, not realising that our very ability to seek is already miraculous.

- A planet must be at the perfect distance from its star — the so-called Goldilocks Zone — not too hot, not too cold.

Despite the possibility of 50 sextillion (5 followed by 22 zeros) habitable planets estimated through the Drake Equation, we have found no trace of intelligent life elsewhere. This puzzling silence is known as the Fermi Paradox — “Where is everybody?”
Is it possible that we are truly alone in this vast, silent cosmos? Or are higher life forms simply hidden from us for a reason?

If there is a Creator—call Him God, Aadi Narayan, the Source, the Cosmic Being—then this miracle of life is His daily expression.

He infused it with a living spark, a purpose, a cosmic play—and you are a part of it.
Your joys, your tears, your questions, your love—they are not irrelevant in a cold, mechanical universe.
They are signs that you are not alone and that you are deeply meant to be.
You are not just in the universe. The universe is, in a way, within you—reflected in your capacity to wonder, to love, to transcend.
According to ancient Indian spiritual wisdom, the architect of this vast cosmic order is Aadi Narayan — the Creator God or the Cosmic Consciousness, whose original source exists beyond time and space. He is not merely a regional deity but the source of all universes, the unseen cause behind all seen effects.
“Aham sarvasya prabhavo, mattah sarvam pravartate”
– Bhagavad Gita (10.8)
“I am the source of all creation; everything proceeds from Me.”
Similarly, the Tartam Sagar, the divine revelations of the Nijanand tradition, explains that Aadi Narayan, or the Super Power/Lord (Cosmic Consciousness), creates multiple universes and appoints a trinity of Brahma (Creator), Vishnu (Sustainer), and Shiv (Dissolver) in each solar system that supports life. These divine roles are part of the grand cosmic governance under the Supreme Intelligence.
So, while science gives us an understanding of how finely tuned the universe must be, it cannot explain why it is that way. The “why” belongs to the realm of conscious intent — to Divine Will.
Scriptures Across Traditions Echo the Same Truth
Across various spiritual traditions, we find echoes of this cosmic truth:
- Genesis 1:1 (Bible): “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth.”
- Chandogya Upanishad 6.2.1: “In the beginning, there was Existence alone, One without a second.”
- Qur’an 21:30: “Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the Earth were joined together, then We split them apart?”
These are not contradictory but complementary. They all point to a Supreme Intelligence who creates with purpose, not randomness.

You exist among trillions of galaxies, stars, planets, and possibilities. You can think, feel, love, and question. This self-awareness is the greatest miracle.
You are not a byproduct of chance. You are the result of Supreme Intent.
Life Across the Cosmos: A Living Universe
Vedic cosmology and spiritual texts such as the Brahmanda Purana speak of countless worlds, each with its own Brahmas and realms of intelligent beings, some visible and some hidden from us. In every such solar system where life flourishes, the cosmic order is maintained by Divine Trinities under the Super Lord.
We are part of a living, breathing cosmos. Every breath we take is part of the universal rhythm, a silent dialogue with the Creator.

It’s time we turned our attention away from chaos and chance and toward the Creator who orchestrated it all — the One who placed every star in the sky and still whispers His love into the heart of every seeker.
Let us live not in forgetfulness but in awe, gratitude, and loving surrender to Aadi Narayan, the transient yet eternal* miracle beyond all miracles.
*It is to be understood that Aad Narayan, as manifested in the cosmic realm in the very beginning as the Purusha (Indic scriptures), is transient as his existence is till the existence of this Cosmos (311 trillion years approximately). He is a reflective or dreamy form of the Avykrit principle, the fourth aspect of the inner psychic quadruped magnificence of Akshar Brahm (Superior Lord). The dreamy form is transient, but the original Avyakrit principle is eternal.
